Three doctors a student and a cabinet maker

Day 1

I believe there is a family that for generations has been creating torture devices. From the dawn of man there has always been somebody who created something to make another human uncomfortable. I believe this family is completely insane and a little angry. This family is the only explanation I can come up with for the design of an airport, airplane experience. It is not user friendly for a 5'3" individual, how is it then that someone really thought that men who are 5'10' and above (much above) are going to be comfortable in a chair that barely fits my nine year old. I think that these creaters of angst and mayhem are very short and have small mans disease. after 15 hours and 32 hellish red-eye minutes we finally land in Barcelona to await customs. the line for customs is so long that we have time to make lifelong friends and now our Christmas card list is 3 families longer. When we finally get to the customs agent, Greg goes through no problem, Evan goes through no problem, then it is Jason's turn. Aparently the day he had his passport picture taken he didn't have a head, and since then he has grown one. This was very disconcerting to the agent, and it took Jason removing his hat and giving a very convincing, benign, unterroristic smile before the agent finally agreed to let him in the country. Then we were off to retrieve Gigantica our gorgeous, humoungous van. Upon loading everyone in, I gave Greg the keys and he drove us out of the airport and to Tossa. Upon arriving at Tossa we struggled to find our Hotel because the GPS insisted that we drive down this street which I would deem barely an alley that was teeming with people, and no other cars in sight. Greg tried two different directions then went for it. Women were hauling their children up against the walls, waiters were moving tables and menu pedistools out of his way. People were giving loud and insistant "directive help" to us, until we finally came out onto the street (I really think he was driving on the equivalant of our sidewalks). Then we found the hotel. Thirty six hours later, the boys are still cheerful and excited to be in Spain as we eat dinner and head to bed for an early start the next morning.
